Set of Six 18×24 Inch Sign Panels
For the March for Science, a set of six 18×24 inch poster panels were created. Each is designed as a double-sided sign placard with the headline “Science Rocks” on one side and a quote from a science luminary on the other.
The first front panel depicts the double helix of a DNA molecule. The second front panel is an artist’s rendering of colliding subatomic particles. The third front panel features an illustration of an Adeno-associated virus, which is a particular kind of virus that is not currently known to cause disease, but only a mild immune response. The virus does infect humans and some other primates, but is not harmful. Rather, it has been found to be very useful for gene therapy research because of its “lack of pathogenicity.”
